Colette Savaria

Colette M. Savaria – Pastoral Associate, Coordinator of Religious Education
Colette Savaria was born the second of five children of Ralph and Terry Savaria.  She has a brother and three sisters and grew up in Woonsocket in a family that was very active in parish work.

After attending Catholic elementary and secondary schools she earned a BS degree from Roger Williams University.  In the 1970s she went to work in accounting.  Then after participating modvigil for two years in a Youth Ministry volunteer program for the Diocese of Providence Colette was able to begin working more directly in what she has long considered her calling – to share her faith and serve others.

This has involved work in a number of CYO centers, serving as director of two of them, and most recently as Director of Emmaus Youth Center in Riverside.

Colette has also continued her education, earning certificates in Youth Ministry and Human Resource Development.

Outside of work, Colette enjoys spending time with family and friends.  She loves to laugh, is a sports enthusiast (Red Sox) and also likes to travel, read, watch movies, try new restaurants, and go to the beach.
