Jane F. Parrillo – Director of Adult Education
Jane Parrillo joined the St. Lucy Pastoral Staff in 2007 when she and her husband John moved to Middletown from Webster, MA. However, they have been summer residents of Middletown and summer parishioners of St. Lucy’s for over 40 years.
Jane graduated from Anna Maria College in Paxton, MA with a BA in biology, minoring in chemistry and music.
She attended the Worcester City Hospital School of Medical Technology, obtaining her MT(ASCP) certification.
Later she received an MA in theology and religious education from Assumption College in Worcester, MA.
Jane and John raised their family in Webster, MA. They have a son, Joseph, a high school guidance counselor, married to Laura, and a daughter, Elizabeth, a speech and language pathologist, married to Ryan Tremblay. They also have five grandchildren, Benjamin and Abigail, children of Joseph and Laura Parrillo as well as Andrew, Nicholas, and Elliott, the triplet sons of Elizabeth and Ryan Tremblay.
Jane worked in several Worcester area hospitals and labs as a Medical Technologist (ASCP) for 20 years. She was also employed as a music teacher, church music director, and cantor in Webster for 15 years, and a Religion teacher at St. Peter-Marian Jr/Sr High School in Worcester for eight years.
At St. Lucy’s, Jane is the RCIA director, the teacher for the adults in the LIFE program, leads a Tuesday morning Scripture Study, holds a movie night once a month, gives presentations on various topics of interest in the Church several times a year, and takes parishioners on trips to places of spiritual interest. She and John enjoy traveling, museums, concerts, and the theater. She makes and sells beaded jewelry.
