Small Christian Communities aim to recapture the spirit of the early Church. Emphasizing personal relationships that enable parishioners to experience a deeper sense of being church for one another. Each community usually consists of 6 -10 individuals of various ages and interests that reflect the diversity of the larger parish.
Meeting every other week, either in the parish center or in parishioners homes, the participants share with one another the challenge and difficulties of journeying as Christians in today’s world. Prayer and scripture are important components of the activities of those who belong to these small churches, as is participants’ growth in understanding and awareness of their baptismal call to holiness and service.
